Returning production in the Pelican State

The 2023 college baseball season was an exciting time for fans across the state of Louisiana. LSU, Louisiana, Nicholls, and Tulane all participated in the postseason, with LSU ultimately winning the National Championship. Dylan Crews (LSU) won the Golden Spikes Award, an award given to the best amateur player in the country. Paul Skenes and Crews became the first teammates (LSU) to be selected first and second overall in the Major League Baseball draft. The postseason appearance for Nicholls was the first for the program since 1998. Certainly, a lot of positive attention was focused throughout the state as we ended last season.

We are now just a few weeks away from starting the 2024 season. It will be a chance to keep the positive momentum and attention going across the state, and also for this year’s teams to write their own stories. Let’s flip the page and look at the head coach for each team, along with the top returning impact players at the plate and on the mound.
