Big Ten Week 6 Recap




8 of the 13 Big Ten teams start conference play this weekend, while Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers finish up non-conference action. Let's see how they did.


Illinois— beat Bradley 12-10, won two out of three at Indiana 9-1, 1-8, 15-8. The Fighting Illini are now 10-12 (2-1). Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Missouri, 3/29-3/31 vs. Penn State


Indiana— lost at Indiana State 7-15, lost two out of three at home against Illinois 1-9, 8-1, 8-15. The Hoosiers are now 12-12 (1-2). Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Middle Tennessee, 3/28-3/30 at Butler (4 games)


Iowa—  beat Grand View 25-3, won two out of three at Purdue 3-1, 4-3, 9-6. The Hawkeyes are now 13-10 (2-1). Looking ahead: 3/26 at Illinois State, 3/29-3/31 vs. Minnesota


Maryland— beat James Madison 9-5, won two out of three at home against Michigan State 7-6 (10), 2-5, 5-4 (10). The Terrapins are now 18-6 (2-1). Looking ahead: 3/26 at Georgetown 3/29-3/31 at Michigan


Michigan— lost at Eastern Michigan 4-14 (7), won two out of three at Penn State 3-4, 9-6, 11-6. The Wolverines are now 9-15 (2-1). Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Michigan State, 3/29-3/31 vs. Maryland


Michigan State— beat Purdue Fort Wayne 11-1 (8), lost two out of three at Maryland 6-7 (10), 5-2, 4-5 (10). The Spartans are now 9-12 (1-2). Looking ahead: 3/26 at Michigan, 3/27 vs. Oakland, 3/29-3/31 vs. Rutgers


Minnesota— won two out of three at home against San Francisco 4-6, 12-10, 12-6. The Gophers are now 10-10. Looking ahead: 3/29-3/31 at Iowa


Nebraska— beat Omaha 11-5, beat North Dakota State 3-1, swept New Mexico State at home 14-2, 2-1, Sunday cancelled. The Huskers are now 17-5. Looking ahead: 3/26 at Kansas State, 3/29-3/31 vs. Northwestern


Northwestern— beat Texas A&M Corpus Christi twice 16-5 (7), 7-6 (7), lost two out of three at McNese 12-4, 0-1, 3-6. The Wildcats are now 10-11. Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Northern Illinois, 3/29-3/31 at Nebraska


Ohio State—  swept at home against Georgetown 1-5, 5-8, 2-4 (10). The Buckeyes are now 10-11. Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Kent State, 3/29-3/31 vs. Purdue


Purdue— lost at home to Illinois Chicago 5-6 (14), lost two out of three at home against Iowa 10-3, 3-4, 6-9. The Boilermakers are now 16-9 (1-2). Looking ahead: 3/26 at Indiana State, 3/29-3/31 at Ohio State


Penn State— lost at home against St. Bonaventure 7-9, lost two out three at home against Michigan 4-3, 6-9, 6-11. The Nittany Lions are now 12-9 (1-2). Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. Pittsburgh, 3/29-3/31 at Illinois


Rutgers— beat Rider 8-2, beat Lafayette 18-6, won two out of three at home against UConn 3-0, 13-6, 1-5. The Scarlet Knights are now 17-7. Looking ahead: 3/26 vs. NJIT, 3/29-3/31 at Michigan State
