Big Ten Week 4 Recap




All 13 Big Ten teams were again in action for the fourth week of non-conference college baseball. Let's see how they did.


Illinois— swept at Tennessee 3-6, 1-24, 3-8. The Fighting Illini are now 5-9. Looking ahead: 3/12 at Indiana State, 3/15-3/17 vs. Southern Indiana


Indiana— beat Northern Kentucky 11-5, lost two out of three at Troy 10-7, 1-8, 11-15. The Hoosiers are now 9-6. Looking ahead: 3/12 at Vanderbilt, 3/13 vs. Illinois State, 3/15-3/17 vs. Belmont


Iowa— beat St. Thomas 9-3, lost two out of three at Jacksonville State 4-5, 20-1, 1-6. The Hawkeyes are now 7-8. Looking ahead: 3/12 at Georgia, 3/15-3/17 vs. Western Illinois


Maryland— beat Delaware 3-2, won two out of three at Charlotte 5-9, 13-2, 3-2. The Terrapins are now 12-4. Looking ahead: 3/12 at Mount St. Mary's, 3/15-3/17 at Portland


Michigan— beat Oakland 13-5, swept at Coastal Carolina 7-8, 6-19, 6-11. The Wolverines are now 5-11. Looking ahead: 3/12 vs. Toledo, 3/15-3/17 vs. Toledo


Michigan State— beat Western Michigan 5-3, first game vs Western Carolina cancelled, lost second game 5-9. The Spartans are now 5-8. Looking ahead: 3/15-3/17 vs. Evansville


Minnesota— lost two out of three at Gonzaga 3-7, 8-5, 3-5. The Gophers are now 6-7. Looking ahead: 3/15-3/17 at Elon


Nebraska— won two out of three at home against South Alabama 3-11, 13-2, 12-7. The Huskers are now 9-4. Looking ahead: 3/12-3/13 vs Wichita State, 3/15-3/17 vs. Nicholls


Northwestern— lost two out of three at Louisville 5-11, 2-10, 6-3. The Wildcats are now 6-7. Looking ahead: 3/15-3/17 at UTSA


Ohio State—  lost two out of three at Cal Poly 2-4, 2-19, 5-3. The Buckeyes are now 7-6. Looking ahead: 3/13 at Cal State Fullerton, 3/15-3/17 at West Virginia


Purdue— lost at Notre Dame 3-11, swept Albany at home 11-3, 6-1, 16-6, 12-1. The Boilermakers are now 12-4. Looking ahead: 3/13 vs. Northern Illinois, 3/15-3/17 vs. Samford (4 games)


Penn State— lost at Virginia 3-6, won two out of three at Harvard 5-3, 8-7, 5-6. The Nittany Lions are now 9-5. Looking ahead: 3/15-3/17 vs. UMass Lowell


Rutgers— beat Wagner 7-2, lost two out of three at High Point 7-4, 2-12, 2-6. The Scarlet Knights are now 10-4. Looking ahead: 3/12-3/13 at North Carolina, 3/15-3/17 at Delaware
